Program Dates

Save the date! Be sure to mark your calendar with the dates for the session you'll be attending. Class will be held on all weekdays during the session. All courses have 15 instructional days.

Session Two

Confirm Course Instruction Time

Courses meet for three hours each day (Monday–Friday) for live online classroom discussion with your instructor and peers. Each course is assigned a specific window of time for this daily, live instruction time. Active participation in class discussion is key to creating an online community of engaged learners, and we expect all participants to attend class every day. Please read your admissions offer letter carefully to confirm the window of time in which your class will meet (8am-11am or 5pm-8pm PDT).

Participants should plan to attend problem-solving sessions, which are led by SUMaC instructional assistants. These sessions are designed to help participants with their problem sets and improve their understanding of course content. Problem-solving sessions are scheduled based on participant time zones. The schedule for these sessions will be shared during the first few days of class.

Preparing For Your Course

Please plan to attend our virtual pre-program orientation! Watch your email for an invitation to register.

Participants are not required to do any reading or fulfill course assignments prior to the start of the program. We look forward to welcoming you to the course on the first day of the session.

Please note that some courses may require the purchase of additional materials such as course readers or textbooks. These materials are not included in the program tuition and will not exceed $50. Instructors are designing the course to select readily available items and to prioritize resources that are available online.
